Multiculturalism for tolerance

Deutsche Schule Medellín understands its responsibility when it comes to training global citizens, we take into account values such as tolerance and respect for diversity.

GIB: The goal is the journey

Since  2020, every student at DSM follows the International Baccalaureate. That’s how they open doors for themselves from a personal and academic perspective.

Teachers in continuous training

The Pedagogical Development and Training Center (Fortbildungszentrum) at DSM is one of a few in our country.

Getting to know new realities

Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) is a central part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Our solidarity projects are currently being implemented from there.

Exchange of experiences

A group of students at the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium, from Eisenhüttenstadt, came to the DSM during the first semester of 2022. Several of them stayed with some of our families.

Institutional development

The DSM aims to become a welcoming place for German teachers who want to work abroad.

Warming up for Musiknacht

Musiknacht will take place on Thursday the 1st of December, 2022, at the University of Medellín Theater. This will be a face-to-face reunion for our Educational Community.

Students of Klasse 7 travel to Germany for the summer camp

In June, fifty-five students from Klasse 7 had the opportunity to experience the popular summer camp in Germany.  The school trip was resumed after two years.

How to manage emotions as a family?

Even though we have always heard that emotions need to be controlled, we actually need to manage them. Emotions can be handled, not controlled. They are necessary and natural in human beings.

Jeans, clothing with German origin

Levi Strauss he emigrated to the United States in 1847, he lived in New York first and then in San Francisco. He dedicated himself to the textile trade and opened a small store in the city of California that became world famous.
